Annual Enterprise Pioneer Day 10K/5K Fun Run and 5K Walk
Tuesday, July 24th, 2012
Buses will leave the FINISH area to the starting point of the races at 6:30 A.M. Sharp. Races will start promptly at 7 A.M.
Run-5K/10K – $13 if received by July 9th, $16 after July 9th or on day of race.
Walk – 5K- $8 if received by July 9th, $12 after that date or on day of race
(Only those registered by July 9th are guaranteed a shirt in desired size.

Enterprise City Water Project Bid

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Wednesday, June 13 about a dozen prospective contractors and suppliers met at the City office to review the plans for the upcoming water project.  Afterwards the group drove  to the Bull Rush spring collection on the Ox Valley Road about 5 miles south of the City to view the start of the proposed replacement pipeline.  We then all drove to our water storage tanks on Black Ridge where the tanks were also viewed.  Part of the project involves taking the tanks off-line where maintenance and repairs can be done to them.

George Byron Hunt

 

 

 

 

 

 

George Byron Hunt passed away June 15, 2012. He was born September 2, 1928 in Comet, Nevada to Thomas George and Beulah Canfield Hunt. He married Shirley Mae Wilson November 18, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Byron graduated from Enterprise High School. He received his a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Education from the College of Southern Utah. He taught school in California for 20 years. He served in the Air Force during WWII.

He loved the outdoors and sports. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing basketball and placed first in a decathlon.

Byron is survived by his children: Ridge Earl, Ronald Barrett, Vicky Lynn and Russell Byron; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; siblings: James Kenneth Hunt, Tessie Hunt Laub Martinez, Bula Hunt Youmans, Eula Hunt Twitchell, Thomas Edward Hunt and Ariel Monard Hunt.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m at the Enterprise LDS 1ST Ward Chapel, 80 South Center Street, Enterprise, Utah. A visitation will be held Tuesday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow at the Enterprise City Cemetery.Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
