eland Emery Huntsman, 103, died Sunday May 12, 2013 at his home in Enterprise, Utah of causes incident to age. He was born September 28, 1909 to Emery Edward and Ida Barbara Staheli Huntsman in Santa Clara, Utah, the oldest of twelve children. He spent his life in Enterprise where he ranched and farmed, and was a trucker. He grew up as a real cowboy riding the range with his father as soon as he was old enough to leave his mother’s side. He attended school in Enterprise, finishing high school at Dixie College. He attended college in Dixie for a year, and went to BYU for half a year, then he had to return home when his father broke his leg.

Miss Enterprise, Kassidy Jones decided she would hold a little miss pageant for girls ages 3-13 yrs old. Kassidy and her attendant, Chelsey Jones came up with the theme this year, "Don't Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle." Together these amazing young ladies created the entire pageant. From the rehearsal dates, decorations, questions, introduction dance, flyers, sashes, modeling, and even being the MC's for the big night, these ladies had to be a support system for 22 girls that tried out. Their goal was to build self esteem and teach the girls that being beautiful and confident doesn't mean you have to have a pretty face or a perfect dress. The most important thing is to be yourself no matter what your talents are, have fun, and don't let anyone dull your sparkle!
