Despicable Me 3 Runs Away With Box Office Weekend Win
Universal Studios Family movie, Despicable Me 3 opened with a $75 million weekend gross almost making back its entire $80 million budget. It easily crushed the weekend competition that included two new films, “Baby Driver”Action movie with Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx and Ansel Elgort, and the comedy “The House” starring Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler.
The first Despicable Me movie opened with $56.3 million and the 2013 Despicable Me 2 opened with an impressive $83.5 million.
Transformers the $217 million film fell into third place pulling their two week opening to $102 million. Wonder Women at week five has grossed more than $350 million and continue to stay strong in the theaters.
