EHS Drill Team Return From State and Anzalone is 2A Coach of the Year

The Enterprise Drill Team (Wolverines) returned from the their state competition at University Valley University in Orem Utah. These girls have worked very hard this year and it paid off as they won the 2A Sportsmanship award. The team also received 7th in Military, 7th in Dance and 9th in kick. They received 8th overall in the competition.

The two drill captains  Ashlee Humphries and Brylee Anzalone also picked up high honors at State Drill. Ashlee was named a member of the Academic All-State team and Brylee made the All-State team.

Enterprise Drill Coach Emily Anzalone has worked very hard this year on getting these girls ready for competition and helping them to become leaders and get them active in their communities. By working so hard this year she was named 2A Coach of the Year. This is a big honor for Enterprise High Schoo, the town of Enterprise and for Emily. “It was a surprise” said Anzalone as this is the first 2A coach award that we could find record of for Enterprise. This award is voted on by other coaches and is a very coveted award. Anzalone was very honored by this and said “I have a group of great girls that I love and that makes it easy to love my job and want to be a better coach”.

Expert coaches work on themselves unceasingly. They are open to new ideas and philosophies. They study coaching seriously and take coaching seriously. They care about the person across from them. This is what Emily Anzalone is and you can see this by the love she has for her team and the love they have for her.
