Enterprise Baseball is Victorious with 2 Wins on Saturday

The Enterprise Wolves baseball team held off Kearns High and Grantsville High to come away big wins Saturday.

The Wolves got out to an eight-run lead in the fourth inning over Kearns and held on for a 9-7 victory.

The Wolves scored on a double by Caden Prisbrey and a single by Spencer Laub in the first inning. The Wolves added four more runs in the third inning with a single by Tyler Hess, a walk by Austin Randall, and a single by Levi Randall.

Kearns scored three runs in the sixth inning in the failed comeback. Hess earned the win for Enterprise as he threw three and two-thirds innings, giving up one run and four hits. Two relievers helped the Wolves close out the victory. Randall threw two innings.

Enterprise had 14 hits in the game. Laub, Hess, Randall, Prisbrey, and Randall each collected multiple hits. Randall, Stetson Robinson, and Hess each drove in two runs to lead the Wolves. Kearns collected 11 hits in the loss.

Grantsville Almost Erases 5-Run Deficit but the Wolves held off Grantsville’s charge for an 8-6 victory on Saturday. Enterprise built a five-run lead in the second inning that helped propel the Wolves to victory.

Enterprise scored on an error, a single by Stetson Robinson, a fielder’s choice by Levi Randall, and a double by Kaden Simkins in the second inning. Spencer Laub earned the win for Enterprise as he threw six innings, surrendering six runs, 12 hits, and striking out one. Keldon Nelson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Enterprise. Hogan Turner took the loss for Grantsville. He tossed six innings, allowing eight runs, 14 hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Enterprise collected 15 hits. Caden Prisbrey, Zeb Jones, Simkins, Randall, Nathan Whitman, and Laub each collected multiple hits for the Wolves. Prisbrey went 3-for-4 at the plate and the Wolves didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tyler Hess had four chances in the field, the most on the team.

Grantsville had 13 hits in the game.
