Enterprise City Brings Back Independence Day Traditions

Residence of Enterprise have longed for the Independence days of the past. Fireworks, demolition derby, ping pong ball drop, music, food, and more. These were the good old days where people made a special trip to enjoy the activities in the mountains.

Enterprise has always kept up with a handful of activities each year, but more and more families have been heading out of town to enjoy other events.

A small group of residence talked about bringing the Independence traditions back to Enterprise. The local EMS and Fire Department jumped on board and put together a volunteer team to create the perfect day.

The Independence day started out with a flag retiring ceremony at the Enterprise Cemetery followed by the July 4th Program at Enterprise High School. The events continued with a turkey shot, kids races, water games, dodgeball, volleyball, live music, dinner. The night ended with a fireworks show that will not be forgotten.
