LG Electronics (LG) released their highly anticipated LG G5 modular style smartphone. This phone stands out with it’s sleek metal uni-body that integrates with the invisible antenna. The best feature is the slide-out battery that can be replaced with another battery in seconds.

The modular functionality of the G5 allows you to plug in a the LG Cam plus camera grip for comfort and functionality along with changing out the battery with a simple click of a button. This technology is unique and allows a better user experience. Google has been working on Project Ara since 2014 which allows you to swap out the camera, processor, screen, battery, and other parts to custom build your phone. The problem? This phone is still not available to the public which after 2 years of hype leaves LG in a perfect spot to release the G5.

The G5 is a 5.3-inch phone with a two rear camera system that includes a 78-degree lens and another with a 135-degree wide angle lens camera. Sound is also important as LG incorporated the Hi-Fi Plus to get top-notch sound that has traditionally only been available through high-end audio devices.

The LG G5 is equipped with the powerful yet energy-efficient Snapdragon 820 processor which offers advanced features such as 64-bit performance, Adreno 530 graphics and a 14-bit dual image signal processors designed to deliver high resolution DSLR-quality images and additional power savings. The Snapdragon 820 processor also supports 4K capture and playback at four times more than the resolution of 1080p. The processor is also optimized for VR, generating quality pixels and life-like colors to deliver the ultimate VR experience to G5 users.





LG also has many compatible “Friends” with the 360 VR goggle that can be connected with the G5 via a dedicated cable and works exclusively with the G5. The LG 360 CAM is a compact 360-degree angle camera equipped with two 13MP 200-degree wide angle cameras. The LG Rolling Bot is a companion device that rolls like a ball while capturing images and videos with its embedded 8MP camera used as a monitoring system for the home. The LG TONE Platinum Bluetooth headset and finally the H3 a set of high-end earphones that is compatible with the high-quality sound of the LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O PLAY.
