Lady Wolves Magical Season Comes to an End

Enterprise Lady Wolves softball team went into the postseason on a 14 game win streak with almost all double-digit wins over every team. Teams like Snow Canyon, Pine View, Canyon View, and Emery. The Wolves were picked to win the 2A after taking the Region 13 title, but South Summit was not going to let Enterprise steal their chance at the title.

Enterprise played strong in the first round of the 2A State Tournament taking out Millard 11-1. Then in the second round, they easily took out Emery 12-5.

Enterprise then faced off against South Summit in the Winners Bracket. South Summit was like no team Enterprise faced. Enterprise was running up the score on every team and never faced adversity on the road. South Summit gave the Wolves all they could handle and stopped them in their tracks. The Wolves had a chance to tie up the game with a runner on 3rd, but a pop fly by Lacy Drake sealed the deal for South Summit winning 5-4.

The Wolves headed to the one-loss bracket and faced off with Gunnison who beat them back on April 1st in the Payson Ice Breaker, 6-1. The Wolves played another tight game but fell short, in the end, losing 4-5.

Enterprise had a strong team this year full of talented seniors and some young pitchers that will be returning next year to help propel them into another strong post-season. Enterprise finished 24-6 on the year and the two MVPs were Lacy Drake and Allie Laub.
