Local Band: The World Divided Heading to State Battle of the Bands April 9th
Enterprise, Utah – Local band “The World Divided” is a 5-piece band consisting of Enterprise High School students: Ben Moyle (drums), Daniel Moyle (lead guitar), Mack Crouch (rhythm guitar), Chandler Staheli (bass guitar), and Kamry Thelin (vocals and keyboard). This band is looking to make an impact at the upcoming PTSA State competition “Battle of the Bands” on April 9, 2016 at 6PM by bringing home a top trophy.
The World Divided entertained crowds at the local PTSA Battle of the Bands on February 12 in Enterprise and were selected to participate at the State level at the Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). Three bands from each multi-region competition were selected to advance to the State Battle of the Bands. Each band will perform one cover song from 1960 to present and one original song at the state level with an 8-minute time limit.
The World Divided has a strong chance at being a finalist this year after learning what it takes when they participated last year with previous band members Nathan Randall and Savanah Riedel. This band started out years ago by playing softer rock music until the influence of hard rock took over and they began to play the music they had always enjoyed. Influenced by metalcore bands such as A Day to Remember, Memphis May Fire, and Crown the Empire, The World Divided have taken their step into hard rock and turned it into a hardcore and melodic combination. This style of music is something that may turn heads and certainly show appealingly different.
