Small Business Saturday is Back
Small Business Saturday is back and gives communities a chance to support their local businesses. Contributing to where we live is about supporting our friends and neighbors. When we shop local it has an economic impact on our communities as organizers of Small Business Saturday said that when we spend $100 locally, on average $56 stays in the community. When we shop at big box stores and spend the same $100 that means only $13 on average stays in the local economy.
This holiday was created to attract holiday shoppers at this time of year when everyone is in the spending mode. This is the day to focus on local businesses, but we should be supporting them all year long.
